All India Insurance Employees Association (AIIEA) told IANS. He said a loading of 15 per cent has been given after 100 per cent neutralization of dearness allowance (DA) at 6,352 points of consumer price index (CPI).

Centre declares every Saturday as a public holiday for LIC
The Centre has declared every Saturday as a public holiday for Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) with immediate effect.
This latest move of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) has been taken under the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881.
Over one lakh LIC employees are expected to benefit from the Centre s decision on this front.
This decision comes at a time when LIC employees are eagerly awaiting wage revision, which is due from August 1, 2017. LIC management had this Monday conducted a virtual meeting with employee unions and conveyed that the final details of the wage revision will be announced soon.

RIYADH The General Department of Traffic has launched an electronic version of the driving license through the Ministry of Interior’s online application “Absher Individuals” and the “Tawakkalna” applications.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the spokesperson of the traffic department said the security authorities have approved the digital version of the driving license, which was developed in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), represented by the National Information Center.
He added that the new electronic driving license includes a QR Code, affirming that the drivers can keep a copy of it on the smartphones and use it without the need for an internet connection.
LIC betting on old economy stocks
Buys shares worth ₹3,000 crore in at least 15 companies
The biggest domestic institutional investor LIC has upped holdings in at least 15 companies by buying shares worth ₹3,000 crore during January-March quarter even as markets rose nearly 4 per cent.
LIC has hiked stakes in old economy sector companies such as those involved in manufacture of cement, auto ancillaries, chemicals, energy and paints. However, it also appears to have booked profits partly in select PSU bank stocks, Tata Steel and TCS etc., many of whom had seen a healthy rise in price during the aforementioned quarter.
